Laura Kolkman

Laura Kolkman, RN, MS, FHIMSS, is the founder and President of Mosaica Partners, the nationally recognized health information exchange consulting firm. She has over 20 years of international experience in healthcare, information technology and consulting and she is a Registered Nurse with a Masters Degree in Computer Science. These unique set of skills aid in seamlessly blending the two worlds of healthcare and information technology. In 2005, Laura established Mosaica Partners, a consulting practice specializing in electronic health information strategies for mid to large size medical practices and healthcare organizations and communities. Under her leadership, the firm developed proprietary assessment and HIE formation methodologies. Services include development of HIE formation and implementation strategies, prioritizing software evaluation criteria, and customized training and education programs.
Mosaica Partners' clients now include federal and state agencies, regional non-profits, a Beacon Community award recipient, individual HIEs and numerous HIE/HIT vendors.
Laura began her professional career as a Registered Nurse, and after ten years in a clinical setting, she saw the potential for information technology to improve healthcare quality. After completing a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Laura held a number of increasingly responsible positions in with an emphasis on health IT. These included serving as Chief Information Officer at Pharmerica Corp, Vice President of Information Technology at Arrow Electronics, and Senior Director of Global R&D Business Solutions at Pharmacia & Upjohn.
Laura is a Fellow of the Healthcare Information Management System Society (HIMSS). She chaired HIMSS' Health Information Exchange Steering Committee in 2008-2009. Laura is also an active member of the Tampa Bay Technology Forum, American Health Information Management Association, American Medical Informatics Association, Business and Professional Women, eHealth Initiative, National Association of Women Business Owners, and Women in Technology International. She received her BS in Nursing from the University of Michigan and her MSc in Computer Science from Western Michigan University.
Laura is the co-author of "The Health Information Exchange Formation Guide – The Authoritative Guide for Planning and Forming an HIE in Your State, Region or Community." The book was published in early 2011 by the Healthcare Information Management and Systems Society (HIMSS).
Ms. Kolkman graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Michigan with a BSN in Nursing. After working as an RN, Assistant Director of Nursing and a Nursing Instructor, Ms. Kolkman returned to school and earned an MS in Computer Science from Western Michigan University. -

Chris Schellman is founder and president of BrightLine CPAs & Associates, Inc. BrightLine is a global provider of assurance and compliance services. It is also the only company in the world fully accredited to provide a suite of services that includes SSAE 16 examinations, PCI DSS compliance validations and ISO 27001 certifications. As President of BrightLine, Mr. Schellman oversees hundreds of SSAE 16 examinations each year, as well as a significant number of PCI DSS validations and ISO 27001 certifications. Mr. Schellman holds Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in accounting from the University of Tennessee.

Andy Swenson

Andy Swenson is the Vice President of Information Technology at Vology Data Systems where he is responsible for internal computing and telecommunications systems for the company. Additionally, Andy is responsible for the professional services team, which assists customers with technical projects including network design, implementation and ongoing support. Previously, Andy was the CIO and Managing Director at Tribridge where he was responsible for internal technology and telecommunications while acting as a subject matter expert on security and infrastructure issues for the S&I practice.
Prior to joining Tribridge, Andy founded Integration Specialists, Inc. (ISI), which was acquired by Tribridge in July 2003. Prior to founding ISI Andy served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer with two Tampa-based public companies – Sykes Enterprises, Inc. and ABR Information Services, Inc. where he was responsible for all technology for over 15,000 employees at 60 locations in 14 countries.
Andy is on the board of the Tampa Chapter of Infragard, the Tampa Bay Chapter of ISSA, the advisory board for St Petersburg College, Everest University and for FairWarning Software. He has appeared on NBC Daytime as an Internet Security Expert a panelist for Florida Attorney General Charlie Crist on Internet Security.
Andy has worked in IT since 1982 in government, middle market and Fortune 500 companies. His experience includes all aspects of information technology, including information security and infrastructure services, strategic planning, new product development, and project management.
Andy holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Coleman College in San Diego, California and a Telecommunications Management Certification from Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tennessee.

Gary Weiss

Gary Weiss is an Independent Consultant/Advisor helping early to mid-stage clients around the world with a range of services including development of corporate strategy, go-to-market strategy, routes to market, and assisting CEO’s in developing and translating their strategies into execution.Gary departed CA Technologies in June 2011 as Senior VP of Business Development and Alliances for CA and a member of CA’s Senior Leadership team. In this capacity, Gary was responsible for Strategic Alliance Partnerships which included developing the partnership strategy and running key game changing partnerships for CA. He also oversaw all Technology Relationships, the Partnership Ecosystem, and Developing additional Routes to Market for CA.
Gary joined CA in April of 2003 to head up CA’s Security Business Unit Sales where he was responsible for developing and executing CA’s Security Sales business on a Global level. In this pioneering role at CA, Gary architected the Solution Sales model that exists today and drove the business to a 3x market growth rate resulting in attainment of the leadership position in Identity and Access Management. Following his leadership role in Security Sales, Gary has held various senior level positions including leading our premiere Customer Success program, leading the Market Development team aimed at bringing new products to market, and building Joint Solution Offerings with partners. Prior to joining CA, he provided sales strategy consulting services to many small to mid-size security organizations.
He began his career in Information Technology in 1993 as one of the first sales executives at Security Dynamics, a security company focused on Strong Authentication. Gary drove a majority of the company’s largest sales and partnerships and helped Security Dynamics, later renamed RSA Security, to a successful Initial Public Offering and leadership in the Security industry. In 2001, he left RSA Security to lead the North American Sales, Channel and Technology Services for e-Security, a Security Management company.
