What is a FairWarning® Ready Certified Professional?
The FairWarning® Ready Certified Professionals training programs have been constructed in response to demand from the company's customers worldwide. These programs provide a comprehensive, practical curriculum for implementing affordable and wide-scale privacy auditing including the remediation processes surrounding breach detection, and draws upon the best-in-class real-world expertise of its customer base by including them in the teaching of the courses.
The FairWarning® Ready Certified Master program has been developed to educate and train healthcare industry professionals in Privacy Breach Detection best practices. The certification program consists of two tracks, a Certified Implementation Professional and a Certified Privacy and Compliance Professional. Successful completion of these two tracks leads to the distinction of FairWarning® Ready Certified Master.

FairWarning® Ready Certified Implementation Professional
The FairWarning® Certified Implementation Professional track is designed to teach the skills needed for a successful FairWarning® implementation. It is aimed at getting executive leadership buy-in from the beginning through the development of a project charter, communication plan and change management.
Additionally, the Certified Implementation Professional track is designed to teach privacy professionals the data needed to implement successful privacy breach detection programs by providing them with a full understanding of the FairWarning® Data Definition Guide 2.0. This guide was released by FairWarning® in 2011 and is used by EHR and health care application vendors to provide consistency in privacy auditing data.
FairWarning® Ready Certified Privacy & Compliance Professional
The FairWarning® Certified Privacy and Compliance Professional track is designed to fully train and prepare individuals on the detailed use of FairWarning® for privacy breach detection. Using the results of FairWarning®'s privacy breach findings, individuals will learn how to bench-mark the results for trend analysis and reporting to executive leadership. Understanding that sanctioning and remediation can drive behavior changes within the organization is essential and discussed in detail as well as ways to implement these processes through routine auditing plans.
The principles of privacy laws and regulations will be presented to individuals as final preparation to becoming a certified master in privacy breach detection. The importance and requirements of privacy breach reporting at the internal, state and federal levels is reviewed to complete the certification program.
FairWarning® Ready Certified Master Training Event Details
These hands-on certification classes are scheduled for May and October, 2012 at the FairWarning® corporate headquarters in Clearwater, FL. Care providers who are or will become FairWarning® customers before year end 2012 are eligible for training discounts.
