Overview
The Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Health Information Exchange (HIE) at NHS Lothian holds 1.25 million records, is used by 23,000 staff in 4 major Hospitals, including the busiest ER in the UK, and 150 other locations across the South East of Scotland. Ted Boyle was responsible for the management and audit of all the clinical applications as well as the security of the infrastructure which hosted the applications. During the webinar, Ted will share his approach to patient privacy in an EHR and HIE, review lessons learned that led to the need for patient privacy auditing, and the benefits of automated privacy monitoring.
