FairWarning is seeking a Certified Paralegal to join our team. This team member will be responsible for document collection, management, review and production, and assisting our Senior Legal Counsel with tasks during all phases of contract negotiations. They will also contribute to projects related to tool development and process improvements to increase operational efficiencies. What you will be doing

  • Create, review, and process transactional legal documents through their lifecycle from document generation and distribution of templates to managing signatures and document archiving
  • Create, update and maintain document template inventories
  • Assist employees in preparing a variety of customer documents (e.g., sales documents, vendor applications, security questionnaires)
  • Review legal covenants, track and prepare required notifications
  • Monitor contract expirations and special terms to ensure proper handling
  • Assist attorneys with revisions to and negotiation of contracts
  • Provide guidance to sales representatives on contractual standards and processes
  • Proactively manage the contract queue and keep multiple parties advised
  • Develop and maintain educational training materials for internal contracting processes
  • Interact and communicate with external counsel and outside vendors
  • Manage legal department records (both electronic and hard copy) and a oversee the migration of records to a new contract management system
  • Work closely with Finance and Sales Operations to ensure completeness and correctness of billing and operational information
  • Liaises between outside counsel, in-house counsel, and FairWarning team members in a timely and efficient manner
  • Researches prior agreements, investigates facts, and independently generates documents to assist Senior Legal Counsel with matters
  • Extensive document management, including gathering, indexing, analyzing and producing documents and data in various electronic formats
  • Prepare general correspondence and reports

Our Perfect Match

  • Associates degree
  • Paralegal certification from an accredited program required
  • 5+ years of paralegal experience, preferably working in a SaaS company
  • Effective analytical skills with the ability to review and organize numerous documents in complex legal matters
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills and a commitment to professionalism
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage numerous contracts and/or projects under time-sensitive deadlines
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, innovative and collaborative environment
  • Experience reviewing and editing legal documents
  • Ability to triage, multi-task and manage changing priorities with a positive attitude
  • Salesforce experience
  • Experience with electronic signature system, DocuSign preferred
  • Workshare Compare experience
  • Proven ability to effectively interact with all levels and departments within a company
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Sales-support and compliance experience a plus
