FairWarning is hiring a QA Engineer to scale-up the growth of our patented, market leading product platform. The QA Engineer will be responsible for manual tests of our applications. We are looking for someone who is eager to collaborate with our engineers to improve test infrastructure and enable rapid deployment of new features. In this role you will be able to make major contributions to the FairWarning products.

What you will be doing

  • Ensure FairWarning platform is “Rock Solid” by validating it is secure, massively scalable, and easy to use through a constantly growing set of quality tests
  • Enable FairWarning to bring new products to market quickly by working with the development team to manually validate the quality of new features.
  • Implement new innovative tools and processes to improve performance and processes of our software platform
  • Test and validate real-time streaming, complex analytics, and machine learning.
  • Contribute to Continuous Integration Testing development through creation of new tests
  • Participate in Product Release Management through attending Daily Scrum, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, and End of Cycle meetings
  • Support production customers on as needed basis

Our Perfect Match

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent work experience
  • Two or more years of related experience in software development or product development environment with a successful testing and/or analysis track record
  • Experience with SQL required
  • Experience with basic Linux commands required
  • Experience managing and running test cases using test case management tools
  • Ability to write and modify test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Ability to work in team-based setting with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with automated testing suites a plus
  • Experience with JIRA a plus
