Vision for The Role

The Senior Subject Matter Expert will engage FairWarning’s customers and prospects in evaluating their security and compliance posture in order to develop a strategic roadmap for their success with FairWarning’s products and services. This position reports to the FairWarning Customer Success Management organization.

Communication skills, beginning with world-class listening, are essential. FairWarning customers are many of the world’s largest and more sophisticated care providers who have made acquisitions or expanded partnerships in recent years. In parallel, compliance and cyber security drivers have escalated, resulting in a greater need for FairWarning’s products and services than ever before. The SME’s role is to ensure each customer receives a solution roadmap specific to their situation. To be successful in this role, the SME must have worked directly with FairWarning’s solution or have been instrumental in the selection process and rollout of our products.

Your Impact :

  • The Subject Matter Expert will perform security assessments with our clients to ensure the safety and security of their data
  • Become an application security expert, responsible for securing enterprise information by determining application security requirements
  • Provide security best practices for FairWarning’s products and services
  • Provide data protection and privacy program requirements subject matter expertise as key resource and point of contact to key stakeholders
  • Lead and execute data protection and privacy efforts for our customers
  • Provide subject matter expertise for the FairWarning solution to ensure customer success


Skills & Experience:

  • 5-10+ years’ experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Subject matter expertise in the healthcare industry, including proven experience with the HIPAA Security and Privacy Rules and knowledge of the GDPR
  • Advance to expert level knowledge of Healthcare operations, business processes, and organization structure
  • A detailed and solid understanding of IT security technologies and Info Security Principles
  • Strong familiarity with the following Electronic Health Record systems is required: Epic, Cerner
  • Direct experience in Compliance Officer, Information Security Officer, or Chief Information Officer role required
  • Expert level understanding of Compliance and Regulations
  • Direct experience with OCR HIPAA audits
  • Direct experience in successfully shaping a culture of compliance and data protection at healthcare organizations of size
  • Understanding of Identity Management (IdM) and Access Rights Management (ARM)
  • Highly motivated, competitive, entrepreneurial, and attracted to challenging opportunities
  • Security Certifications: CISSP and other advanced technical security certifications are a plus
  • Worked directly with or been involved in the selection process of the FairWarning product
