July 23, 2020 – Flattening the curve for COVID-19 has been at the forefront for health systems and health information exchanges since the turn of the new year. With the initial surge in cases behind them, health IT leaders are able to hit the resume button on EHR optimization projects and begin to look forward.

Brian Dixon, director of public health informatics at the Regenstrief Institute, which acts as a connector between Indiana health systems, the Indiana Health Information Exchange, and nearby universities, saw health IT leaders work together to fight the pandemic.
