Health Quest is the Mid-Hudson Valley’s largest integrated healthcare system providing the highest quality care across a broad spectrum of services. Offering the full range of hospital services, pre-hospital emergency care, homecare and nursing home care, the Health Quest system provides immediate and caring service to the one million people who reside in the New York counties of Columbia, Dutchess, Ulster, Orange, Putnam and northern Westchester. As a result, Health Quest previously had multiple data protection technologies in place to prevent external threats. However, they did not have anything in place to properly mitigate the risk of internal breaches.

The Health Quest team determined proactive patient privacy monitoring was the next step to maintaining a secure and compliant environment for the electronic storage of health records, and pursued FairWarning for assistance.
