“Patient privacy and security is a global concern,” said Kurt J. Long, founder and CEO of FairWarning. “Governments around the world are encouraging the use of EHRs. They are a liberating force for clinicians, healthcare providers and patients, which enable better care, delivered faster, with greater safety and improved outcomes. But there are dangers. Unless patient privacy and security is built into systems at ground level there is the ever-present risk of major data breaches. As the use of EHRs grows throughout Asia-Pacific, we are pleased to have received patents for Patient Privacy Monitoring in Australia, Singapore and Malaysia.”
