Description of Role

The role of the Senior QA Automation Engineer is a diverse role that will enable you to work on an award-winning, market leading, enterprise security and compliance product. In this role you will be in a position to make major contributions to the FairWarning® products. Responsibilities include assisting with requirements, design, develop and run automated test scripts to ensure high quality products. As part of the product team you will be empowered to improve our customer service through product improvements. On a daily basis, you can expect the following:

  • Participate in Daily Scrum, Backlog Grooming, Sprint Planning, and End of Cycle meetings
  • Participate in product requirements and design discussions
  • Design, development, and execution of automated testing scripts for all FairWarning® product releases
  • Add and update automated tests for Update Continuous Integration Testing platform
  • Add and update automated tests for Automated Smoke Test tools
  • Design, development, and execution of manual testing scripts for all FairWarning® product releases
  • Track all test scripts, execution, and status of scripts in QA Complete and JIRA
  • Contribute to the usability of product through use case testing and feedback
  • Validation of User and Implementation Guides
  • Validate that product features meet requirements as documented in JIRA and Office365
  • Duplicate and triage Blocking and Critical Production defects as required by Customer Support Team


Successful candidates will have the following background:

  • Minimum of 2 -3 years of writing Selenium Test Cases in Java
  • Minimum of 5 years of related experience in software development or product development environment with a successful testing and/or analysis track record
  • Ability to work in team-based setting with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to write and modify test plans, test cases, and test scripts
  • Strong teamwork skills, be able to work quickly and independently, juggle many concurrent tasks and have an exemplary work ethic
  • Creative problem solver and analytical thinker with attention to detail
  • Experience with basic SQL
  • Experience with basic Linux commands
  • Experience with JIRA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, related degree or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working with technical development teams
